The original Oil Can echo units by Tel-Ray were a very early attempt to mechanically produce reverb and echo without the use of springs or tape. Catalinbread have taken that vintage effect and removed its limitations by adding a more versatile control set. The Adineko captures the murky warble of the original units while providing control over intensity via the Viscosity knob, as if you could cool the oil down. It recreates that foggy, warm echo, while providing a wider delay-time range than any original unit could achieve, controlable via the Timing knob. By playing with the dual-playback-head concept of the vintage units, the Adineko's repeats can be blended via the Balance knob, giving the user the ability to customize rhythmic accents by favoring one head over the other.
